Rules of engagement

Getting a quotation

Upon engaging us at MIT Ltd, a representative will obtain the necessary information to assess the scope of your request and provide a quotation. The acceptance of the quotation and subsequent down-payment (bank deposit or cash) serves as the contractual agreement between both parties. We will be happy to communicate with you if there are any questions or changes to your reservation. Before confirming your booking, compare your service options and ask any question that will satisfy your moving needs. The price stated on the quotation is subject to change if:

Balance of payment

The outstanding balance is to be paid to the team lead upon completion of the job. This payment should be made via cash unless otherwise discussed. An official MIT receipt will be given acknowledging receipt of the total payment.

Truck

The type of truck to be used will be stated on the quotation. The company utilizes box trucks primarily in its day-to-day operations unless otherwise requested. If there are any challenges faced with the assigned truck on the day of the move, they will be immediately rectified by the company.

Professional crew

Our professional crew of movers will provide a seamless relocation by safely disassembling and assembling, packing and unpacking, loading and unloading, and rearranging furniture. The company will not be held liable for any private arrangement made between a customer and employee, as all negotiations are to be done solely with the office and staff via the numbers provided to the public (790-6683 MOVE). Customers are therefore not permitted to engage the moving crew for any contracts related to our business.

During your move

We encourage our customers to be ready before the scheduled time of the move. The time of arrival at your location is always stated on the quotation. Our team leader will make contact before arrival to discuss parking specifications if necessary. Upon arrival, the team lead will review for a successful move. It is recommended that you let our team know about any specific moving requests you may have at this point. Once our movers deliver your items, they will place them at the new location to your specifications.

After your move

We strongly encourage our customers to give us feedback after their move. Our success is based on the comments you provide. If you enjoyed your experience, we would love for you to tell your friends and family, or post a review about our service on our social media platforms.

Refund and cancellation policy

Please carefully review our reservation deposit, cancellation, re-scheduling, and no-show policies below to familiarize yourself with them.

Reservation deposit

In our attempt to protect the company against severe operational losses, it is our policy to require a 50% reservation deposit on all bookings. This serves as security for the commitment made by the customer to us. Last-minute cancellations result in losses to the company, such as income from potential jobs that could have been executed at that time, as well as paid wages, fuel, and vehicle amortization. Deposits are to be made via bank deposit to our company's account or via cash collection. A receipt will be given to the customer for cash deposits. Proof of bank deposit can be sent via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or email. Deposits are fully refundable, as long as cancellation notice is communicated to us two days (48 hours) before the actual move.

Cancellations

In order to receive a full refund of your reservation deposit, please communicate your desire to cancel via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, phone call, or email at least two days (48 hours) before the actual moving date. Same-day cancellations will result in a 50% loss of your deposit. This amount covers mobilization costs associated with your move, as well as compensation for loss of potential income.

Re-scheduling

We strive to provide flexibility to our customers. Re-scheduling requests are honored only after a telephone conversation with our agents at least 48 hours before the move, and are subject to crew availability and pricing changes.

No-show policy

Once you confirm the booking, you expect the professional movers to be on time to move you. Once we collect the reservation deposit, we commit our movers to service you, and we expect customers to meet them. In the event our movers are not met at the location, 100% of the deposit is forfeited.
